One of City Meals on Wheels main building blocks is volunteers. Anyone who receives a meal from this program is greeted by a delivery person who is always there as a volunteer only. Though there can sometimes be a struggle to find youthful and willing participants who will spend their time and effort walking meals through the 5 boroughs of New York City.
